Hey there!

I'm Karl -- the founding artist behind karl von artistry.

I'm located in southwest washington state, where I've lived all my life.

i can't imagine a better place to call home than the gorgeous pacific northwest --

it's so fun to explore the local sights with my wife and son!

by day, i work in education & enjoy sharing my passion for art with students.

i've spent most of my life creating art in various forms --

i became a bob ross certified instructor in my teens,

developed a love of photography in my twenties,

and began leather-crafting in my thirties.

this site is allows me to bring together all of my artistic interests and skills, sharing them in a one-stop showcase for others to enjoy.

behind the scenes

hi! i'm Karl's wife, amy.

along with assisting in leather order production, i oversee customer service, shipments, finances, and graphic design.

i've been working behind the scenes for the leather shop since late 2019, when the business had grown to where karl needed a helping hand. The following year, i left my career as a legal assistant to focus solely on our business.

our shared interest in the arts is one of the first things karl and I connected over when we met. being able to collaborate on the creative venture of the leather business has been a gratifying experience.
